Trelleborg and the southern coast are full of exciting little gems to discover together. Perhaps the family is eager for an adventure, or you want some quality time with your grandchild? Here, there are fun activities for both young and old. We’ve gathered our best tips, but feel free to share your favorites with us!

Hallongården

Hallongården is located in Bodarp. Here, you can pet animals and pick raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, and asparagus. Additionally, you can find raspberry ketchup and a lot of other treats to enjoy.

Trelleborgen

The Viking fortress Trelleborgen is located in the city center of Trelleborg. Here, there is a Viking village and a museum with a café and shop that are open during the summer. The outdoor area allows you to climb up into the fortress and learn exciting Viking facts.

Smygehuk fyr

Smygehuk lighthouse is an 18-metre-high tower built of iron in 1883. After being extinguished for many years, it was relit in 2001 and now guides leisure boats and local fishermen around the cape. The lighthouse is open for visits during the summer and by appointment during the winter.

Padel

Padel is a trend that’s here to stay. Perhaps it’s due to the inclusive atmosphere where people of all backgrounds, young and old, can come together and have fun? In Trelleborg, there are many courts, both indoor and outdoor. Additionally, when you play close to the beach, there’s the opportunity for a refreshing dip after the match!

Generationsparken

Surrounded by lush trees and greenery, you’ll find a skatepark, boules court, outdoor gym, and playground. It’s a place where generations can come together. If you have a four-legged companion, there’s a dog park nearby. It’s close to the city centre if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat or a coffee.

Albäcksskogen

In the leafy Albäcksskogen, you’ll find walking paths, exercise trails, and several ponds. There are designated barbecue areas that are perfect for picnics when you need to refuel! Both the adventure playground and the open grassy areas invite play. The southwestern pond is perfect if you want to catch critters.

Discgolf

Bring your family and play Disc Golf in Sweden’s southernmost Disc Golf Park. You play the course from start to finish with as few throws as possible. All you need to bring is a disc or a regular frisbee.

Pinchos

Family-friendly restaurant where you order small dishes, aka tapas, via an app. Cozy, fun, and imaginative decor with plenty to look at. Many vegetarian options and allergy-friendly food. Small outdoor seating area in the back during the summer. The Grand cinema is connected to Pinchos, so you can order food and drinks to your cinema seat both before and during the film.

Here, you can stay in pleasant, bright rooms and, of course, enjoy both lunch and delicious pastries. Cozy ice cream café in a garden setting just a stone’s throw from the seaside in Beddingestrand. Here, you can enjoy Skåne’s Otto ice cream in homemade cones, vegan ice cream from Lovice, and, of course, coffee for tired parents.

Seal safari

In Skåre, west of Trelleborg, there is a marine reserve with harbor seals. They often rest on the rocks from autumn to March, coming from the Måkläppen colony. Bring binoculars and observe them, but do not disturb. The lookout tower for a better view is located west of the harbor. A cozy nature experience for the whole family!
