Hike along the coast and through the heathlands
Hiking in the winter offers a special sense of being in the moment. The Skåneleden SL7 South Coast trail winds its way through the varied landscapes from Trelleborg to charming Ystad, offering open expanses, coastal paths, and tranquil nature. Here, you can walk at your own pace, listen to the sound of the sea, and discover little gems along the way. Combine your hike with a warming coffee break in town or along the coast—a perfect break on chilly days.
Swimming, Bubbles, and Adventure
When the winter chill sets in, there are few things that beat the warmth of water and steam. At Smygehus Havsbad, you can enjoy an infinity pool with ocean views, a sauna, and a relaxing spa in a peaceful setting. Perfect for those seeking tranquility, good food, and a moment of total relaxation.
The whole family can look forward to visiting the Trelleborg Swimming Center —recently renovated and reopened, featuring an adventure pool that offers fun, activity, and joy for young and old alike. There’s room here for both activity and relaxation, whether it’s winter break or just a regular winter weekend.

Feel Good at the Museum
Culture is balm for the soul. In downtown Trelleborg, you’ll also find the newly opened Axel Ebbe Art Hall, where you can explore the artist’s creative works and learn about his history and strong ties to Trelleborg.
Axel Ebbe has left a distinct mark on the urban landscape, and several of his sculptures can be viewed outdoors year-round. Take a leisurely stroll through Trelleborg’s city park and encounter *Irrblosset*, see *Sjöormen* at Stortorget, or discover *Kyrkogrimen* outside the art museum.

Cold Bath
For the brave—or the curious—a dip in the cold ocean awaits. With over 35 kilometers of coastline, there are plenty of spots to explore along the Trelleborg coast. The sensation of the cold water, the adrenaline rush, and the warmth that follows are hard to beat. After your swim, a hot drink or a sauna nearby tastes especially good.

Dinner with That Special Something
High above the city, on the seventh floor, you’ll find Restaurant GLAS —a penthouse restaurant where seasonal cuisine meets carefully selected wines, cocktails, and sweeping views of the entire Trelleborg harbor. Here, you can sit back, let your gaze wander over the horizon, and enjoy delicious food with the sea as your companion.
If you’d rather swap the ocean view for the Skåne countryside, Anita’s Gästis in Anderslöv awaits you. At Gästigivaregården, which dates back to the 16th century, you’ll be greeted by warmth, history, and well-prepared food in a cozy, home-like setting.

Peaceful Nature
Did you know that Sweden has ten times as many quiet places as, for example, Germany? In the area around Trelleborg, you can experience true tranquility. Discover the lime kilns in Östra Torp, east of Trelleborg—a place where nature, history, and silence come together. Traces of the old lime industry can also be seen at Smygehuk, with kilns from the 19th century that serve as a reminder of a bygone era.
