Inspiring Women on Skåne's South Coast in Trelleborg

Fashion. Creativity. Passion. In Trelleborg, there are women who prove that it’s possible to bring ideas to life—whether they’re starting new businesses, launching products, or creating spaces where people can come together. Here, you’ll meet some of the women who dare to take risks, inspire others, and make a difference every day.

The Store at Slättarps Gård

At Slättarps Gård , Linda and Bettina run a store where lifestyle, fashion, and interior design come together in a carefully curated setting. Here, visitors will find an inspiring mix of clothing, accessories, and home décor, all with a distinct Scandinavian feel and a hand-picked selection.

Our goal is to create a space where products find their natural place within a beautiful whole, where visitors can be inspired and discover something new every time they visit. Our selection ranges from furniture and interior design to fashion, beauty, and carefully curated gifts. We always prioritize quality and personalized service.

The store also hosts private customer evenings, where visitors can gather for an inspiring shopping experience in the unique farm setting.

Innergården7

At Innergården 7 in Beddingestrand, Jeanette has created a personal and inspiring space for those who love the unique. In the cozy courtyard, clothing, home decor, plants, vintage finds, and gifts come together—all carefully handpicked with an eye for rustic charm and a distinct Danish touch. This is about more than just shopping; it’s an experience where visitors can discover things they may not have known they needed, in an environment that offers both inspiration and charm.

Ahead of the 2026 season, Jeanette is in the midst of preparations, working with new suppliers, new products, and booking gardening projects. On March 20, Innergården7 will reopen and welcome visitors to a new season full of inspiration.

Ludvigslund's Pantry

Anette runs Ludvigslunds Skafferi, a small farm shop in Äspö, just north of Smygehuk. Here, nature, craftsmanship, and flavor come together—everything sold is produced on the farm, with wild garlic taking center stage on the shelves. In the old pigsty, visitors will find jars, bottles, and delicacies from the farm’s fields: pesto, salad dressings, marmalades, and much more, depending on the season. The shop is more than just a place to shop; it’s a chance to smell, taste, and be inspired by local flavors.

Every spring, Anette invites everyone to Wild Garlic Day, a unique full-day event for everyone who loves wild garlic, food, and nature. The day features a forest spa experience among rolling fields of wild garlic, relaxation with coffee and snacks at the beautiful Smygehuk Lighthouse, inspiring cooking with a focus on wild garlic, and a buffet table laden with delicacies as the evening wears on.

Äspö Retrotorp

Helen runs Äspö Retrotorp, a shop brimming with nostalgia where furniture and items from the ’50s through the ’80s are given a new lease on life. Here, she sees possibilities where others see old things—what many call “junk” becomes her treasures, ready to inspire and transform new homes.

The store is a place for retro lovers and creative souls who want to rediscover treasures that are “new again.” Helen is happy to accept donated furniture and other items and breathe new life into them—with love, creativity, and an eye for detail. Äspö Retrotorp isn’t just a store; it’s a place where history and inspiration come together in every corner.

Magical Homes & Gardens

Gørill Stigedal has always had entrepreneurship in her blood. Since 1994, she has worked in design, communications, and brand development, and her passion for interior design has now found its own expression in Magiska Hem & Trädgård, a lifestyle store in Hemmesdynge outside Klagstorp. “Running my own business—it’s always been a part of who I am.”

This is where creativity, functionality, and emotion come together—both in interior design and in brand design. Gørill runs the agency Monday through Wednesday and the store Thursday through Sunday, and sees every day as an opportunity to create and grow. She also emphasizes the sense of community with other female entrepreneurs in Söderslätt and the importance of supporting one another as they navigate the challenges of running their own businesses.

“There are many of us women who run our own stores here in the countryside. What has touched me the most since I opened is the sense of community. We support each other, help each other, and work together. I’m both happy and moved by the wonderful camaraderie among the stores in Söderslätt. Everyone has each other’s best interests at heart—and I can feel that in my heart.”

Albert and I

At the store Albert & Me Anna runs the business together with her faithful companion, Albert the bulldog. Here, visitors will find a playful and unique selection of products that have been carefully chosen to surprise, inspire, and spread joy.

Anna places great importance on collaborating with small-scale producers and women-owned businesses. The collection includes, among other things, products from the Dutch brand Sjaal met Verhaal, where everything is handmade by women in Nepal—an example of how craftsmanship, quality, and fair working conditions can come together in beautiful items.

“I love working here in Trelleborg, where it’s easy to surround myself with driven and strong women who all recognize the value of working together to create a vibrant city.” The result is a rural store brimming with color, personality, and Fair Trade products—a place where every item tells a story and where care for both people and craftsmanship takes center stage.

Livex

Agneta runs Livex, a small shop and oasis in Västra Virestad on Söderslätt, filled with Mediterranean inspiration. Here, visitors are greeted by lemon trees, herbs, figs, and palm trees, terracotta pots, and Moroccan porcelain—a place where flavors, scents, and colors create a unique experience.

With her extensive knowledge, Agneta guides visitors through the store’s selection of Italian delicacies—from pasta, olives, and jams to organic Parmesan and various types of olive oil. Her expertise and passion for food make every visit both inspiring and educational, with tastings and tips that bring the products to life.

Dannegården

At Dannegården in Trelleborg, Kattis Ivholt and her family run this charming boutique hotel, which has become a beloved gathering place for both Trelleborg residents and visitors. The beautiful shipowner’s villa, built in 1910, houses a hotel, restaurant, spa, and a lush garden—all characterized by the family’s flair for design, hospitality, and that special touch. Driven by a passion for creating memorable experiences, Kattis and her team organize everything from dinners and conferences to weddings and festive evenings. Here, personalized service and the overall experience are always the top priority.

Swaffers Jewelry Workshop

Anne Swaffer has transformed her farm on the southern coast of Trelleborg into Swaffers Smycketsverkstad, a place where creativity and nature come together. Right from the start, she knew that the old pigsty would become her workshop and a small farm and gift shop—a place where handmade jewelry and personalized creations could take shape.

Inspired by the sea, the forest, and the surrounding plains, Anne makes most of her pieces herself, and the shop changes with the seasons, just like her jewelry. When the weather permits, visitors can settle into the garden with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy some homemade cake—a little oasis where you’ll feel welcome and inspired.

Madeleine's Studio

Madeleine runs Ateljé Madeleine, where she uses her intuition and creativity to create floral arrangements for every occasion. As a florist, decorator, and designer, she lets the flowers become an extension of the recipient, whether it’s for a home, a business, a wedding, a christening, or a farewell.

With over twelve years of experience working in both Sweden and Norway, Madeleine has built up a solid expertise in the art of floristry. During her time in Norway, she participated in several regional and national championships and brought home to Sweden medals, trophies, and a Norwegian journeyman’s certificate. Today, she has realized her dream of opening her own flower studio at Slättarps Gård, where she continues to create personalized floral experiences with heart, craftsmanship, and passion.
