The Skåneleden, with its various sub-trails and over 100 stages, offers you the opportunity to explore the Skåne landscape in your own way – whether you choose to venture out for the day or embark on a longer hike.

Orange signs

The Skåneleden is marked with characteristic orange signs, making it easy to find even in slightly tougher terrain. The Skåneleden website is packed with useful information. There, you can plan your trip in detail with the help of maps and information about connecting buses and trains.

Hike

The Skåneleden largely traverses privately-owned land. It is thanks to the approximately 1000 landowners along the Skåneleden who have granted permission specifically for hikers to traverse their land that the trail is made possible.

Allemansrätten

Show respect for nature and the trail, and feel free to read up on the Right of Public Access in Swedish “Allemansrätten” to know what applies when you’re out hiking. The Skåneleden passes through 32 municipalities. In Trelleborg, the North to South Trail begins at ground level.

Kustleden

Kust till kustleden i.e. Coast to coast Trail stretches horizontally from the city of Sölvesborg in the very northeast corner of Skåne to Ängelholm in the west. This sub trail offers experiences in the wild border regions and quiet woodland lakes in the east and dramatic coastal cliffs in the west.

Nord – Sydleden

I.e. Skåneleden Trail North to South. From Hårsjö (just west of Vittsjö) in the north all the way down to the coastal city of Trelleborg in the south. This trail takes you through the dense Göinge woodlands, open savannah-like environments and beautiful country estates with a rich flora.

Åsleden

Skåneleden Ås till ås i.e. Skåneleden Trail Ridge to ridge Trail takes you from Åstorp at the foot of Söderåsen ridge to Brösarp hills in Österlen, the northeast of Skåne. This trail takes you past impressive ravines, magnificent national parks and recreation areas with plenty to do.

Österlenleden

Skåneleden Trail Österlen takes you on a hiking tour around the southeast of Skåne. Picturesque fishing villages, long, white sandy beaches and humid beech woodlands await you. Don’t forget to bring some local produce with on your hike from one of the many farm shops in the area.

Öresundsleden

From Utvälinge (just west of Ängelholm) in the north to Trelleborg in the south, and a circular trail around the Falsterbonäset Peninsula. Along this trail, you can enjoy magnificent sea views, exciting nature reserves and the proximity of good facilities.

Vattenriket

Skåneleden Vattenriket (Water Kingdom) will run over 150 km from Lerjevallen i north east of Skåne to Drakamöllan in Österlen. It will be fully completed in 2023. The first six sections will take you from the lush green inlands to the bare coastal landscape, passing through a large number of charming villages with plenty to offer.

Comfortable campgrounds

Along the entire Skåneleden, there are well-maintained campsites with shelters, toilets, fireplaces, firewood, trash bins, and information boards – all available for everyone to use completely free of charge.

The Pilgrim Way 

The pilgrimage hike between Trelleborg and Dalby is part of the pilgrimage route between Santiago de Compostela and Nidaros. It’s a journey from monastery to monastery. And even though the monastery buildings are gone, with a little imagination, you can sense the traces of all the feet that have walked here through the centuries. In the middle of the route lies the pilgrim church of Fru Alstad with an interesting history. The pilgrimage route starts in the Klosterträdgården in Trelleborg
