Events in Trelleborg

Visit Trelleborg views tourism as a strategic and powerful tool in the development of a sustainable society. Tourism makes a significant contribution to society by creating jobs, increasing economic activity, and generating important tax revenue. Our goal is to actively work to ensure that tourism is part of the solution to the global challenges we face.

Events play a central role in this work. They not only contribute to local well-being and a sense of community, but also promote economic growth, a stronger local identity, and sustainable development. By offering a diverse and well-planned selection of events, we work to strengthen Trelleborg’s position as an attractive year-round destination—a place where both residents and visitors can meet, experience, and get involved.

Event Support

Visit Trelleborg operates in line with Trelleborg Municipality’s sustainability goals, which are based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Today, visitors and sponsors have higher expectations for events to be sustainable—socially, economically, and environmentally. There are now a variety of tools available for labeling and certifying events, and Visit Trelleborg can guide partners toward the right tools.

To assess the various impacts of events, Visit Trelleborg uses the tools Eventcalculator and “Tratten.”
